This issue of the newsletter is published on the occasion of Forest Day 2, the UNFCCC COP14 parallel event in Poznan, Poland,
December 2008. The main objective is to inform COP14 and Forest Day 2 participants about the importance of forests in mitigating
climate change and to present relevant policy means and instruments elaborated by the MCPFE.
